THE ART OF NOISE 2010 celebrates artists who are inspired to create work that traverses the two timeless muses of Art and Music: LIONEL DELUY captures contemporary music creators in-camera and morphs them to new artistic highs, JILLIAN KOGANincorporates elements associated with music (CDs, drugs, lyrics) into institutional declarations of patriotism, RUSSELL YOUNG’slauded Pig Portraits transform iconic mugshots of musicians into silk-screened symbols of status, and TED RIEDERER transforms musical performances into permanent pieces of art.
Curated by The Nation of Artist’s Elliot Kotek and Noise Pop’s Stacy Horne, The Art of Noise is presented by Brooke Waterhouse at:

P1 brings you a night of disco debauchery every last Wednesday of the month. Let’s relive the glorious “anything goes” parties of the studio 54 era. We’d like to give you some examples of what you might find inside Essential, but you’ll have to just come and see for yourself. Perhaps you’ll be inspired to show up on a white horse?!? Whatever you chariot to our party, be sure and don something extreme and fabulous, something that screams,” Lust & Glory!” Duserock and Linden C. promise to funk you up on the dance floor. Dare you come and play?
See you every last wednesday of the month…
