| November 14, 2009 9:00 pm | to | November 15, 2009 4:00 am |
BACK2BACK is back.
After an incredible night with DJ HARVEY we are proud and excited to present the return to SF of THOMAS from the Wicked crew.
yes indeed! the ‘odd one’ is back.
for those that have been pining for a Wicked reunion, this is as good as it’s gonna get.
in the 5 years since the Wicked crew disbanded Thomas has divided his time holed up in the studio recording cosmic rock as Map of Africa (w/Harvey), and weaving a path of disco destruction as half of NYC’s notorious party starters Rub ‘n’ Tug.
he’s a busy guy. lord knows when we’ll jam together next.
in honor of 18 years of freeform funk, for one night only…
<< GARTH//THOMAS//JENO >>
with a special late night dance permit til 4am at Project 1.
don’t miss this one!
Nov 14th. 251 Rhode Island. SF. $15/$10 b4 midnite. 21+.

About THOMAS:
Thomas Bullock – Rub N Tug/Map of Africa Bio:
Thomas began DJing as a teenager in the 80’s along-side Harvey at Tonka HiFi.
In ‘91 he was invited to catch a Greyhound bus from DC & stay with his mate Garth in San Francisco, which led to a 5 year layover in California where he joined the influential Wicked Sound System.
He moved East to New York in ‘96 and along with hench-man Eric Duncan, formed The Disco Theatre Of Manhattan, a collective of anarchist weirdos from the island who loosely gather around the ‘Camp Fire’ at the party known as Rub n Tug.
Rub n Tug have remixed Beastie Boys, Roxy Music, Goldfrapp, Coldplay, Chicago, Out Hud & !!!.
Thomas also co-wrote and produced a highly acclaimed album for Whatever We Want Records with Harvey as Map of Africa. The second Map album is now finished and ready for the presses.
Basically he is awesome and contrary to popular belief, actually quite sane.
