Additional information about this CD release:
Alloy Trex has been performing their all-live downtempo, breaky dub
sets for over 10 years at parties such as Koinonea, Psybertribe,
Ascension, How Weird and Tantra.
After meeting in the San Francisco and Santa Cruz psytrance party
scenes, Alex Neira and Troy Sheets began producing music specifically
for the chill rooms that were ubiquitously adjacent to the high-energy
psytrance main rooms.
The Alloy Trex chill room sound is at both danceable and dreamy. It
provides two experiences, a relaxed, evolving head space where one can
chill out, and an energetic beat to groove to.
Alloy Trex weaves multiple layers of sounds in and out of the mix
live, in real time. Unique, highly engineered synth melodies and deep
sweeps are used throughout and are always evolving. Filtered,
molded, mutilated and diced percussion surrounds the listener
providing multiple levels of rhythm to sync with.
“Drivetrain” is the third album from Alloy Trex. Drivetrain is a
state of the art studio production capturing the energy of a live
Allloy Trex set.
Join us July 17th at Project One San Francisco for the release event,
where Alloy Trex and special guests will be performing live.
